Sarah A. Baugh

Sarah Baugh advises and assists clients on a wide range of business, real estate, and estate planning matters. She routinely serves as outside counsel to a number of local and national businesses, bringing a pragmatic approach to the resolution of both sophisticated and routine issues. Sarah’s corporate practice includes advising clients on entity formation, management, ownership transfer, and succession planning, including mergers and acquisitions, drafting of corporate governance documents, and contract review and preparation.

Further, Sarah assists in managing the Firm’s title group and has significant experience representing clients on all aspects of real estate transactions, including drafting and negotiating sales agreements, conducting settlements, and preparation of ancillary agreements related to such transactions. 

In addition to her business and real estate practice, Sarah also crafts estate plans, including the preparation of Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and Advance Medical Directives for business owners, family farmers, and others. She oversees trust and estate administration to accomplish clients’ unique planning objectives and to meet the diverse needs of her individual clients.

A Maryland native, Sarah graduated with honors from the University of Maryland School of Law in 2012. Before obtaining her J.D., she ventured from her Maryland roots to St. Andrews, Scotland, the historic “Home of Golf,” to complete her undergraduate studies at the acclaimed University of St. Andrews, where she graduated with honors in 2009.

Sarah began her legal career serving as the law clerk to the Honorable Brett W. Wilson in the Circuit Court for Dorchester County from 2012 to 2013 before entering private practice in 2013. Recently, Sarah spent almost three years as in-house counsel to privately held businesses in the agricultural and energy sectors, where she developed and implemented legal strategies, managed compliance and governance, and oversaw various high-profile projects, including data center and energy development, vendor management, and contract negotiations for both sectors.

Today, Sarah lives with her family in Cambridge, Maryland, and in her free time enjoys hiking, boating, and exploring the wilder areas of the Eastern Shore with her family.
