Emma M. Grandfield is an experienced associate attorney who primarily represents individuals and businesses in civil and commercial disputes. Her practice also includes appellate advocacy, trusts and estates disputes, and white-collar defense. Emma will be practicing primarily in the firm’s Annapolis office.
Before joining McAllister, DeTar, Showalter & Walker LLC, Emma spent four years refining her skills as a litigator at a Baltimore firm, where she gained significant trial and appellate experience in both state and federal courts. Prior to her time in Baltimore, Emma served as a law clerk for the Honorable Andrea M. Leahy at the Appellate Court of Maryland.
Emma earned her juris doctor magna cum laude from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where she was inducted into the honorable Order of the Coif. Earlier in her academic journey, she received her Bachelor of Arts magna cum laude from the University of Richmond.
An Annapolis native, Emma now lives in Glen Burnie with her husband, son, and dog. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, exploring local walking trails, and baking.
