Kaitlin A. O’Dowd’s practice focuses on civil and business litigation, practicing out of the Annapolis office. Recently, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Pamela K. Alban in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, Maryland where she gained invaluable insight into the interworkings of the legal system and observed countless proceedings to delve deeper into her passion for litigation. She also honed in on her research and writing skills by preparing the daily docket and writing numerous memorandum opinions on complex civil, family, and criminal matters.
Kaitlin attended the University of Maryland, College Park where she received her B.A. in Criminology and Criminal Justice. She always had her mind set on going to law school and becoming a litigator. After her graduation in 2020, Kaitlin began her legal journey at the University of Baltimore School of Law where she earned her J.D. magna cum laude. While in law school, Kaitlin was Symposium Editor for the University of Baltimore Law Review, served as a Research Assistant and Law Scholar, and was a member of the National Trial Competition Team. Kaitlin competed on the team for the two years in which she was a member and went on to compete at the National Competition in Fort Worth, Texas after winning the Regional Competition in 2022.
During her last year of law school, Kaitlin was a law clerk at a mid-sized civil litigation firm in Baltimore where she assisted attorneys in civil and business litigation by conducting legal research, drafting motions, and managing discovery. She also developed an interest in trusts and estates litigation. While in law school, she served as a judicial intern for the Honorable George L. Russell III, Chief District Judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland and as a juvenile division law clerk for the Maryland Office of the Public Defender.
A native of Anne Arundel County, Kaitlin enjoys spending time on the water and exploring her new home of Annapolis with her friends and family.
