Kevin M. Jensen’s practice focuses on real estate development, zoning and land use, local government issues, and civil litigation. Kevin started his career as an in-house corporate counsel and combines his experience from that role with his tenure in private practice and county and state government to establish and effectuate efficient and effective legal strategies to help his clients achieve their objectives.
Prior to joining McAllister, DeTar, Showalter & Walker LLC, Kevin served as Assistant County Attorney for Cecil County, where he was counsel of record for the Police Accountability Board, Administrative Charging Committee, Ethics Commission, and the Planning Commission and Board of Appeals. He also drafted County responses to Open Meetings Act complaints and represented the County before the Maryland Public Information Act Ombudsman. Prior to his tenure with Cecil County, Kevin worked as an in-house corporate counsel, negotiating and drafting complex buy-side contracts, and working with their IT Department to develop an internal software program to procure, store, and actively track contractual provisions within all sales contracts to monitor company rights and responsibilities.
Kevin grew up in Cecil County and still calls Port Deposit home. He studies languages in his free time and is conversant in French and Danish. Kevin is also a big Orioles fan and enjoys spending summer evenings at Camden Yards or watching the game at home with his two cats, Dinky and Dudley.
